Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his maiden trophy for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult period, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in specific - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and eventually splitting with former trainer Cervara.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has steadily improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial championship following the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt after spring of 2023.
Success also means he has achieved 21 victories at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my children at once, so to get a trophy is really nice," commented ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I won when my child her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his previous six championship matches, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
His defensive approach and recurring reactions on the playing surface had led some to question if his capacity to perform at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and compete aggressively, supported by an improved service.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult Frenchman, taking 4 of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden professional title, took control to force a final set.
He saved 4 early chances in a tight deciding set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner secured victory with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
